Happy Friday! Classes started Monday for me. The lectures are alright and kind of fun, but the deadlines are worrisome. So worrisome I keep procrastinating projects like a fool. How are you doing? I’ve mostly been navigating an uncomfortable miasma of terror and discontent. I am not very good at studying, which doesn’t help.
On good news, when I first moved in, the curtains for the big window were inexplicably on the floor, and someone put them up a few days ago. There are about three cats on campus and I’ve met two of them. One was asking so cutely to be let inside my dorm building (she’s allowed).
I have been more tired than I have been in a long time. It is all the stress and the socializing. I hope I can at least make some friends, the sort you feel comfortable enough to cuddle with without warning. I suppose I don’t have much else to talk about. British people are absolutely obsessed with school shootings; even a professor compared Achilles to one. I am sick to death of it. Can’t we talk about Mothman or suchlike when we can’t do much about the bad parts? I found a nice book about Oscar Wilde in a bookshop, which was fun. I’m also getting a bit of a cold (again). I miss you. I hope you’re doing well. I hope you are having fun back home.
With love,
Alice
