Hey, Soren!

July 18, 2025 By admin

Happy Friday once again! I just worked six early-shift days in a row, and now I get a weekend, so I am so so tired. I could sleep right now as I write to you. Work is nice though — free meals and coffee with each of them. The coffee kept me alive. Also, they were playing Hamilton today which contrasted very strangely with the 18th-century book I was listening to (The Mysteries Of Udolpho — a slow start, but good. Apparently Northanger Abbey is based on it?). The vibe in a summer camp kitchen is very dependent on who the lead cook, and thus the playlist, is.

Mom and Aaron went to the country fair and got back on Monday. It is as you expect from the country fair. I don’t envy that, but I do envy that they got to see Eugene just for a little bit. It’s been so long since I’ve seen home. Aaron played the saw in a Dr. Seuss performance. I saw the dress rehearsal before they went — it was very strange. And liked at the country fair. I spent their time away making lots of mac n cheese.

I have also accidentally committed sacrilege by buying a rosary and replacing the Jesus pendant with a band (Ghost) logo pendant. I found that a little fun since you never know when you sin in other people’s religions. Unfortunately, cannot deny that it looks cool, though. I also bought a three dollar mini candlestick like Scrooge holds. I’ve always wanted one of those, so it’s neat.

I’m about to fall asleep. I love you so dearly. I am always and forever your tired, terrible sister. I FaceTimed cousin Laura a few days ago: she is well, but it is much too hot in Phoenix.

With love,

Alice

I was married to a woman for a decade. In 2015, she suddenly abandoned our eldest daughter and withheld our youngest. Soren has been taken from her primary home, mom, sister, and everyone on our side of her family since she was 10. Our purpose is manyfold: we want you to know Soren's story, advacate for Soren in Eugene, OR, champion LGBTQ families to help stop abuse, and help ensure no child lives with: psychological abuse, withholding, abandonment, alienation, or parental kidnap again. These are sides of the same coin.

Letters from Sister

Happy March! It really feels like spring over here. Lots of flowers blooming and even sunlight. How are you doing? The school year’s almost over, how are you feeling? I hope you’re keeping at it alright. By this point in first year I was getting used to the rigamarole. The issues with the site are…

Happy Friday! God knows I need the break that’s coming. I’m weirdly tired for no reason. How are you? How’s school treating you? This week’s been pretty uneventful. I’m going into London this weekend, though, so I’ll tell you about that next week. There’s so much I writing I have to do for this spring…

And Laura’s birthday of course. Not much to say today, obviously, it’s not a family holiday or anything — rather the opposite. I have zero intentions today other than to chill. Popping back in as always just to say I love you and happy Valentine’s. If you have anything romantic planned, best of luck, if…

Happy Mom’s Birthday! And Friday the 13th! Nothing unlucky’s happened to me yet, knock on wood. How are you today? I know I think of you on your and Mom’s (Mel’s) birthday, I hope you think of us on ours. I got Mom a cookie tin from Elizabeth II’s reign with her face on it…
