Friday rolls around again. Classes were alright this week. We have to write a long long essay that’s worth 100% of its own little class — stressful! But we’re working on it. Mine’s about Minoan coffin paintings. How are you doing? How is school? It’s October now, but it’s still warm here. I don’t like it.
I found another cat outside my new dorm. It let me pet it but only as it crossed the parking lot: it would stop briefly then continue to sit under a different car. I tried to upload a picture, but nothing’s loading for some reason.
My roommate and I are watching a lot of Poirot together. It’s really good. I think this will uphold my mental health all semester. We also went to a gallery in London on Saturday and saw Fragonard’s Swing and a few other famous artists, which was nice. I like museums that look like a rich guy’s art mansion. It was next to Baker Street where Sherlock Holmes lived, and we saw a bunch of people standing outside his house. And a bunch of tourist stuff. It was slightly Mona Lisa but not as bad. Got a baguette for dinner and went on back. It’s nice to have a train when you can’t drive. Makes you feel like Cousin Ryan with his subways.
Anyway. Other than that I have been studying (and replaying Undertale). We are not going back to London this weekend but might next. For what, not sure yet. It’s alright, my budget is wasted on the rocks of Spanish ice cream. Now I must be on studying again. I love you.
With love,
Alice
