It’s very late here. I forgot to write until now. How are you? How was Thanksgiving? I’m sorry I didn’t write then: I think I forgot it was a holiday as much as “racism day.” A friend invited me over for it and made dinner — all English, but she made Thanksgiving food and even pumpkin pie by ordering puree online (they don’t sell it here). I was quite thankful — it was nice. First Thanksgiving pumpkin pie since 2022. As always, I like to watch Wednesday’s speech from Addams Family Values this time of year. If you spent it alone this year it may feel lonely. That’s alright.
I have a few deadlines coming up (the Athens trip knocked me behind a bit), so I’ve been doing nothing but writing. Words torrenting down in very unedited buckets. I finally finished my last second draft today. I’m going to spend tomorrow blissfully doing nothing. I also watched Wicked (first one) today with a friend: it’s fine. I’ve been watching lots of Dan and Phil in the space between work. The only British boys I will tolerate. I love you so much. I’m sorry that I am so brief. I feel a little sick tonight, but it might just be school stress. You don’t have to do good at school to be smart, but the bluntness of numbers is more knowable than something as ephemeral as actual intelligence.
With love,
Alice
