We went to a firework show, despite my best wishes. Loud. But funny — some guy was yelling “Yeah! America! 250 years of freedom! No other country in the world has done it!” lmao. Did you enjoy the day or do anything fun? I remember huddling with you under a big blanket on Skinner’s Butte many years ago. I always liked it up there.
Mom is at country fair right now. Just in case you are going or know somebody who is. I’m not there — Mom won’t take me around Eugene Proper, and I don’t like being in a WiFi-less hippie camping zone for several days and, someone has to feed the cats and chickens. But remember — she’s there every year. And so is Aaron, playing saw and trombone. But also, like, if you feel weird about him, I get it. It’s weird. This week I’m just hanging out. Making pasta. Finally starting work again soon.
Just glad to be back. Happy to have some alone time.
It’s not letting me continue that paragraph. Hm. Anyway. I love you. Stay safe. Enjoy the sun. It’s hotter down there.
With love,
Alice
