Happy Halloween! ‘Tis the season. How are you faring with everything? I’m doing alright. Six-day work week ahead after today, though: hhhngh. Pray for me. Send coffee. This week I had to save all my art files and delete my art app, Procreate, because it had 55gb of storage and I had no more apps to delete. So little storage it physically stopped letting me draw. Reinstalling it got rid of 53 of those. I’ve had it for seven years. Although all the art is safe, it did feel like setting my sketchbook on fire in order to make room on the shelf for a second. Sigh. At least I can play Minecraft again or something.
Other than that. Work is smooth. I was looking at a graduate program at Cornell the same day the news came out, which rattled me a bit. Bullet thoroughly dodged. I guess I’ll have to add “rape likelihood” to my list of things to research about colleges. Agh, I’d neuter all men if I could. Not ethical, but not as bad as what they do to us. Be careful out there. And maybe don’t talk to boys. God knows I stopped after befriending three assholes in a row at school. It only took four months. That said, trans men are fine: being raised a girl does wonders. What horrible poison do they put in little boys?
Now that I’ve finished The Locked Tomb, I’ve been reading Rebecca. Very good book. Honestly the husband is worse than the real antagonist. Did you know there’s the classic “evil lesbian” trope going on? I was surprised. But still, a very good gothic novel so far. And another good example of why talking to men doesn’t end well. The protagonist doesn’t have a name, so I kept calling her Rebecca: probably intentional. After this I have more Shirley Jackson in my wish-list. I love Shirley Jackson.
Anyway. I should get going since I have a bit to do today. And I can never spend as much time in bed as I like. I love you Soren. Stay safe and well.
With love,
Alice
