Achilles is sitting on me so I’m desperately typing with one hand. Pls send help. Anyway I was just thinking that now that I’ve graduated and can no longer get stalked online and murdered on campus that now I can tell you where I actually went to college. It’s called Royal Holloway University of London, and it’s near the eastern edge of Surrey. I was a 40 minute train ride from London, and a half-hour walk to the train (a big hill between there and campus, ugh. Exercise every time I want groceries) which is why I was in London so much. The town was called Egham and it’s quite small, decently safe enough, and had three thrift stores in the main road in town. First year I lived in the biggest campus building, a giant Victorian labyrinth that was pretty on the outside and uglier on the inside. Maybe I’ve let this slip already but it seemed good to let it all out now. I have some campus pictures on my Instagram (al.a.mikell) though I’ve never been a posting person. Achilles is trying to take the other hand. I only have two my son.
he’s made me switch hands. Anyway, this week’s been nice. Though I broke the garden hose nozzle. I’m glad to be working again. Also I got a reward from school that I didn’t know about with 100£ for most promising archaeology student. I shall buy ice cream at some point with it. The Strawberry Festival was on the weekend, which was very fun. I got lots of free candy and watched a guy in a Donald Trump mask get dunk-tanked. There was a booth selling tintypes that I desperately wanted to go to (having my Victorian clothes at hand) but I couldn’t afford it (hadn’t gotten the prize yet). Sigh, maybe next year. I was the perfect candidate. I did get a dole whip with strawberries, though, which was great. My friend’s working at a different summer camp on-island and I’ve been visiting: it’s pirate themed, and they have a big pirate ship. I got to do some wood-burning: fun. Although I accidentally made something that would scare children (drawing of Jeff the killer with a metal spatula labeled Jeff the Griller), my friend said nobody’s noticed yet lol.
Paris wants his turn with cuddles now. I love you dearly and am always thinking of you. Losing my hand again as we speak.
With love,
Alice
