Hey, Soren!

August 28, 2026 By admin

It’s almost September now. Are you feeling nervous? If it’s any consolation, I’m nervous about returning to my grocery store job. Standing up all day hurt my hip, and I’m too young to complain about a hip problem. That said, I’ve taken to wearing a corset, and it’s done wonders for my back and somehow the hip as well. I don’t know how that works. School will be fine. Less 101 classes should be nice as well.

The sky was clear for last night’s lunar eclipse, but it was too behind the trees for me to see much. And Mom had taken the bicycle so I wasn’t gonna ride somewhere above the tree line. Did you see it? I always suppose that the weather in Eugene is about the same as here. Even though it’s a five-hour drive. I’ve discovered some old fashion plates in a book I got in Dublin; this made me happy since I didn’t have any time to get one in Paris. Can’t put them on the wall since they’re in a book, but a win is a win. Here’s my favorite: it’s from 1808.

It’s a little hard to see, but the colors were painted in by hand. This book is a magazine ‘for the amusement of the fairer sex’. Needless to say I am amused.

There was a staff party for my summer camp on Saturday. I got a little award for being cheerful. We took a boat around and ate snacks. It was very nice. I like having excursions off-island. It’d be nice to do more often, but, I only have my electric bike. I saw a sunken boat:

Hell yeah!!!!

Aside from this little is going on. I haven’t been drawing much. I feel very uninspired and unmotivated. I hope it subsides soon. Volunteering at the museum is going good. We had a pizza party last night. There were cake pops; I’ve missed them dearly since boycotting Starbucks. That said it’s not like there’s a Starbucks on-island. In fact, our only fast-food chain, a Subway, closed recently. We are officially unbound. I mean, I never went there anyway. Although I do like Subway. Maybe I just like sandwiches with ranch.

Anyway. Speaking of the museum, I have to go research some dead people. This is par for the course given how I spend my free time regardless. I love you.

With love,

Alice

Happy almost-weekend. Things are quieter here now. I spent as much time in the free-VIP-stuff stores as possible. We’re seeing a production of Rent tonight. How are you doing? This week’s mostly been work honestly, and re-listening to the first two Locked Tomb books (very good). I’m volunteering at the museum now and went on…

Back on the iPad. Turns out the VPN was being annoying again and I had to turn it off. Happy Friday once again. This week was busy: lots of work. Vashon Film Festival o the sperm documentary, and the director came over with some friends. I hate him. He’s annoying and made fun of how…

Ipad has randomly decided that the internet does not work anymore and I’m too lazy to fix that right now. Ergo, I’m on the computer today. A whole different dimension. It’s only down in the living room with me today because I wanna play Deltarune. How are you doing? As the Vashon Film Festival and…
